Troop 707 participates in participates in many annual Council Sponsored Activities, such as the Centennial District Camporee, Webelos Winter Weekend, and the Winter Biathlon. The activities include learning the basics of camping, wilderness and winter survival skills, and shooting sport competitions.
Campouts are held almost every month, even in the winter. The location for the campouts varies and the Troop is always interested in going to new places. Recent campouts have been held in places as diverse as Camp Tahosa, Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch, Snow Mountain Ranch, and even Yellowstone. If you have a favorite spot, please let us know!
Once a year, the Troop attends a week-long summer camp where the scouts work on rank advancements and merit badges. The Troop has attended Tahosa, Peaceful Valley, San Isabel, and others inside and outside of Colorado. The dates for summer camp vary from year to year, but they are generally in June or July.
The Troop schedules monthly fun activities in the Denver area, selected by the Scouts. Past activities have included miniature golf, bowling, jumpoline, rock climbing, and many others. If you have some great ideas, we’d like to hear about them!
