About Troop 707

707BANNER

Hello! Welcome to the Troop 707 website!

We are a fully chartered troop of the Boy Scouts of America. We are part of the Denver Area Council and the Centennial District, and we are located in Aurora, Colorado.

Troop 707 is youth-led with adult guidance and support. Our goal is to help each youth enjoy the journey and adventure of Scouting, and help each other along the trail to the Eagle Rank. Being involved in Boy Scouts encourages self-esteem, respect for others, respect for authority, teamwork, leadership, and personal strength. It is truly exciting to see our boys grow and change in positive ways. We also:

⚪ Encourage and support individual Scout advancement
⚪ Nurture and develop youth leadership and a youth-lead Troop
⚪ Ensure a supportive, non-threatening, and harassment-free environment for all Scouts
⚪ Not deny Scouting to any qualified boy due to financial inability
⚪ Encourage parent/guardian participation.

… AND HAVE FUN DOING IT!!!

If you live in the area and are thinking about joining the Boy Scouts of America, or if you are a Webelos scout that is getting ready to graduate from Cub Scouts, please Contact Us to arrange a visit with our troop.

707 Weekly Meetings

MEETINGS
Troop 707 meets Monday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at The Porch Church
(formally the Cherry Creek Wesleyan Church)

The Porch Church
19401 E Chenango Dr
Centennial, CO 80015
http://www.theporchchurch.tv/

While operated by the scouts themselves, the goals of the adult members is to help facilitate, nurture, and encourage the growth of the scouts within a safe environment. Scouts need 3 things for every Monday meeting:

1) the “Class A” uniform
2) your Boy Scout book
3) please be on time

Please arrive to meetings by 7:00 PM; we will begin at 7:07 with the Flag Ceremony. Being on time helps us make our weekly Meeting be as productive as possible.

DUES
Dues are $5.00 per month plus outing fees, which are kept at a minimum to enable as many scouts to participate as possible, with at least one outing per month. Typically, fees will include any funds required for the camping site, food, and any special activity the scouts will participate in. Adult Leader participation is encouraged (and rewarding!)
